Canva Template Image Editing – The Basic

Here we will show you how to easily add and remove images in Canva Template


Things you need to know on Canva upload formats and requirements as of Jun 2022
  • Canva free users can upload up to 5GB of media.
  • JPEG and PNG images under 25mb in size can be upload.
  • SVG images under 3mb in size can be upload.

1. Canva Frames

Frames are container where you can drag and drop pictures or videos easily in a Canva template. All our design template use frame so that our customer can easily add their pictures or videos, and quickly use it after just a few editing on their part.

Below how does Canva frame look like.

2. Adding Pictures into Canva Frames

  1. After opening your Canva template (You’ll receive a PDF with a link will direct you to the template)
  2. Click on the Uploads button on the left column
  3. Click on Upload media
  4. Browse the picture you would like to upload
  5. Wait for the picture uploading complete
  6. Drag the picture into the Frame. Done. Easy Peasy right.

3. How to Reposition and Resize your picture in the Frame

  1. Double-click the Picture and if you using Mobile, Double-tap the Picture
  2. To resize, click and drag any of the white circle on the corners of the picture
  3. To reposition, drag the picture around the frame space
  4. Click ✓ Done to finish

4. I made mistake ! How to Undo ?

Don’t worry, you just need to click on the undo button at the top bar or press Ctrl + Z on the keyboard

5. How to remove picture from the Frame

  1. Click on the picture
  2. Click on the icon
  3. Click Delete Image

6. How to download the template

  1. Click on Share at the top right.
  2. Click on Download.
  3. Click on Download again.
  4. The default file type is MP4 for animated template and PNG for static template.
  5. If you prefer other format, click on the File type.
