Canva Template Text Editing – The Basic

Here we will show you how to edit, add and remove text in Canva Template.

1. Edit existing text

  1. Mouse over the text.
  2. Double Click on it.
  3. Now you can proceed with editing the text.
  4. You can also change the font type, bold, Italic, underline, etc.
  5. Please note that some of the font, Effects and Animation are not available to Free User in Canva.
  6. Our ready made template is already optimize for free user usage. You just need to change the text.

2. Edit the text spacing

  1. Select the text.
  2. Click on the Spacing Icon at the top bar.
  3. Edit the text spacing by dragging the slider.

3. How to add new text, you can use either one of below option

  1. Option 1 : Press T on your keyboard. This is the fastest way.
  2. Option 2 : Click on the Text on the left column. Then choose heading, subheading, body text or choose the existing text template.
  3. Option 3 : Copy the existing text and paste it on the template by pressing ctrl+c and ctrl+z on your keyboard.

4. Remove existing text

You can remove the text by select the text and press Delete on the keyboard or select the text then click on Delete icon .
